In recent years, Straight has been building its range of products to assist many business sectors with their waste and recycling requirements. In the last two years, Straight has supplied almost 1,000 Step-On Containers to the largest NHS Trust in the UK, the Leeds Teaching Hospitals. The containers are used on wards to dispose of clinical waste at the six different hospitals around the city.

Step-On Containers are ideal for hands-free waste disposal and each container has a tight-fitting, overlapping lid to contain odours. The containers are available in a variety of sizes from 30 to 87 litres and a range of colours. Straight's Step-On Containers can also be customised to suit individual requirements.

Rigid liners are also available and each container features a quiet heavy-duty pedal for easy opening and closing. Made from tough, puncture resistant plastic they feature rounded corners and smooth contours for easy cleaning.

Libby Moss, Environment Officer at Leeds Teaching Hospitals said, "The Step-On Containers are Trust approved for use in a hospital environment. There are many benefits of these containers; they are easy to clean, quiet when being operated and the foot pedal ensures cleanliness. This beats anything the Trust was previously using".
