New Straight Bin Set to Steel the Show
Following an extensive development period, Straight has entered into the steel bin market with force with the launch of the Steelybin™ at this year's RWM. The 1100 litre Steelybin™ is Straight's first foray into metal waste and recycling containers. Straight has already announced plans to further expand the Steelybin™ brand by developing a full range of sizes over the coming months.
Over the last two years Straight has worked closely with local authorities, contractors and customers to develop a suitable solution for a metal waste container, which meets all of their needs. With legislation for the disposal of trade waste continuing to change, the Steelybin™ has been designed to achieve the highest possible standards meeting the market's future needs for source separation.
Combining high-quality with reasonable cost, the Steelybin™ incorporates a range of features as standard including Danish type handles to improve manoeuvrability in the safest way. A sump base also aids stability when the container is moved and a drain plug enables the discharge of any liquid.
The Steelybin™ conforms to EN840 and is tested in line with noise level regulations. Tough and reliable, the Steelybin™ offers the customer complete flexibility. Its comb lifting edge is compatible with all standard equipment. With internal fully welded seams to ensure longevity, the Steelybin™ is made from galvanised steel and comes with the option of powder coating. Available in a range of colours, the new steel bin can be used for the collection of both residual waste and recyclable materials.
The 1100 litre version can be customised to order with short run vinyl graphics or logos stamped into the body. There are two lid options: a recycling lid with apertures for bottles, cans and paper or a standard lid for general refuse. All lids are equipped with a lock as standard and at no extra charge. The Steelybin™ also features a chip nest area allowing a standard RFID chip to be used to monitor the use of the bin.
Straight believes that the new container is set to revolutionise the marketplace by offering customers a product with a quality level beyond the market standard, but at an affordable price. Jonathan Straight, CEO of Straight plc said, "We have vast experience in all sectors of the waste and recycling industry, however steel bins is a new area for Straight. We wanted to create a new affordable steel wheeled bin that would surpass current models on the market."
Straight continues, "We liaised closely with our customers to ensure that we could give them exactly what they wanted without any hidden extra costs. The Steelybin™ meets the needs of a changing market and offers customers' unrivalled quality in terms of design, features and finish."
